Kempton, PA’s Rodney Kistler put Randy Schaeffer’s Fireball 99 into victory lane Friday night at New Egypt Speedway. Kistler started eighth in the 15-lap main event and worked his way through traffic to claim third by lap five. When early leader Jason Rochelle looped off turn two with eight laps complete, Kistler rode the low groove to pass Stephen Nederostek for the lead on the restart. Josh Morrow and Craig Rochelle advanced to second and third on the final circuit, leaving Nederostek to settle for fourth ahead of Jason Rochelle. Mark Schaffer, Roy Danner, Tim Henry, George Abt, and Justin Mulea completed the top ten.

Heat races went to Tim Henry and Josh Morrow as fans were treated to three-wide, position swapping competition throughout the entire program. The Keystone Legends Tour last ran New Egypt in 1998 with current URC sprint car driver, Kevin Welsh, taking the win on 5-30-98 and Paul Rochelle sweeping the program on 8-1-98. From the competition Friday night, fans and competitors alike are looking forward to the Tour’s next New Egypt event on Friday, July 20 th.

The Keystone Legends Tour returns to Linda’s Speedway in Jonestown, PA next Friday night, May 18 th and Five Mile Point Speedway in Kirkwood, NY on Saturday, May 26th.
