Keystone Legends Tour point leader Rodney Kistler notched his third feature win of the season Friday night at Linda’s Speedway. Kistler took the lead from early pacesetter Justin Mulea with an inside move off turn four on lap four and held off Josh Morrow, teammate Tim Henry, Randy Kissinger and Mulea to put Randy Schaeffer’s Fireball #99 into victory lane. The initial start produced a red flag as fourth place starter, Mark Schaffer, lost the handle on Mike Stufflet’s #61 causing a mad scramble on the frontstretch which eliminated five cars, all with relatively mild damage or flat tires. The second attempt went much better and Mulea jumped in front of polesitter Justin Grim as they led the opening lap over Kistler, Stephen Nederostek, and Jim Baker. After Kistler took the lead on lap four Grim spun in turn three and Nederostek, Craig Rochelle, and Tim Bauer all headed pitside with bumpers off or dragging. With Kistler in command, Morrow moved to second on lap seven and Henry grabbed third at the halfway mark. Despite their best efforts Kistler remained in charge over the remaining laps to lead Morrow, Henry, Kissinger and Mulea at the checkers. Rounding out the top ten were Jim Baker, John Schirk, Grim, Scott Peters, and Robyn Delabar. Heat races for the 26-car field were won by Schaffer, Kistler, and Dunstan. The Keystone Legends Tour remains on the dirt at Linda’s Speedway in Jonestown, PA on Fridays, July 13 th and July 27 th. |
