Craig Rochelle of Hackettstown, NJ posted his second main event of the season Friday night at Linda’s Speedway. Rochelle started fourth and took command on lap three from polesitter Jim Black. Rochelle held off current Tour point leader, Rodney Kistler, and his teammate, Tim Henry, over the final ten laps to win the 20-lap headliner. Justin Mulea and George Abt rounded out the top five. Howard Hunter recorded his best finish to date in sixth with Jim Baker, Roy Danner, Randy Kissinger and Brian Weitzel completing the top ten. Justin Grim brought out the red flag with thirteen laps in the books when his engine exploded on the frontstretch. Fast action by the Linda’s Speedway emergency crew extinguished the flames and helped Grim exit his car without injury. Heat races for the 22-car field were won by Black and Morrow. The Tour returns to Linda’ Speedway in Jonestown, PA on Friday, September 14, before the season finale at Five Mile Point on Saturday, October 13..
