Tim Tomson of Kutztown, PA scored his second Keystone Legends Tour main event win of the season Sunday afternoon on the dirt at New Egypt Speedway. Tim Henry now clings to a one point advantage over Tomson in the overall season standings after a strong second place finish ahead of Paul Rochelle, Jim Baker, and Jim Black.

Tomson took command at the halfway point from early leader Todd McCollum and held off Henry over the final five circuits to record the win. Rochelle took third on lap eighteen and McCollum’s fine run came to grief one lap later when John Schirk made contact entering turn one triggering a melee which claimed five cars. Baker and Black benefited greatly from this incident which propelled them to a top five finish. At the checkers Justin Grim, Roy Danner, Ron Poley, McCollum, and Schirk completed the top ten.

Heat races were won by Henry and Tomson.

The Tour returns to Linda’s Speedway, Jonestown, PA on Friday night, June 13 and will be back at New Egypt for the fourth installment of the Sunday dirt series on Sunday afternoon, June 22.
